Content curation is the process of collecting, organizing and displaying information relevant to a particular topic or area of interests. Content curation is not new, museums and galleries have been doing it for years and are experts in this area.
However, in the last year, content curation has been making a name for itself with websites and more specifically, online retailers. More have embraced curation as a way of taking the hundreds and thousands of data and making it easier for users to navigate the site to find the product they want or discover a product they didn’t know they wanted.
Find&Save has recently stepped into the content curation arena. Starting in December 2013 with a specific list of Christmas themes, and continuing into the New Year curating the top 25 items from the retailers on the site. Members of the production team have been scouring the Find&Save searching for products that best represent the retailer. Product selection is ever changing and a “staff pick” label is attached to each of the chosen products to identify that we think an item will be of interest to shoppers.
To view staff picks, just click on your favorite retailer, and you’ll see them at the top of the page. Keep checking back on Find&Save – we’re always adding new staff picks of the great products from your favorite stores!
